Report a missed collection

If you put the right bin/container out on your collection day and we missed it, we’re sorry. Tell us about it with this form and we will return to empty it within three working days - just remember to leave your bin/container out until we've been back to empty it.

Before reporting a missed bin, check for any problems that we already know about.

If you did not put your bin out on time or had an advice tag explaining why it was not collected, we will not return to empty it. You will need to wait until your next collection or take your rubbish to your local household recycling centre. There is no limit to the amount of recycling you can put out for collection each fortnight. If your collection was missed, or your bin was tagged, you can put out extra boxes of recycling only on your next recycling collection day. Put any paper and cardboard in the wheelie bin or boxes with lids to keep it dry, and keep glass separate.

From Saturday 2nd July onwards we are making changes to some collections in East Dorset and Christchurch. We sent a letter to all affected properties in June, with new collection dates and details of any extra catch-up collections.

Please check your letter carefully before reporting a missed collection. You can also check your new collection day online and download a calendar.

You can find out more about the reasons behind the round changes here.
